Wave Rider is a 3D endless runner built around one clear premise: ride as far as you can across open ocean before an obstacle ends your run. You're always moving forward on a surfboard or jet ski, and the only variables are your steering and timing. Rocks, logs, sharks, floating objects, and sudden gaps in the waves all stand between you and a new personal best. Collision with any of them is instant death—no health bar, no second chances within a run.
What gives the game staying power is its unlockable board roster and the way speed escalates. Early in a run, the pace is comfortable and obstacles are spaced enough to read with ease. As time passes, the board accelerates and hazards cluster more tightly, turning smooth surfing into a reflex test. Starfish collected during runs serve as currency for new boards and jet skis, each with different handling characteristics. Swapping boards changes how the game feels at high speed, which is enough to keep experienced players returning for more attempts.
